HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS IN DARWIN EITHER AFTER MOVING FROM ANOTHER LOCATION OR BEING RETIRED OR DECIDING TO RETIRE?
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A NEWCOMER TO DARWIN - ANYONE SEEKING FRIENDSHIP AND BEING INVOLVED IS WELCOME.
The Darwin Ionian Club provides support and friendship, for both newcomers to Darwin as well as those who have been here for a while, with a welcoming social women's network and opportunities for meeting new friends.

Members/friends/partners social outings: From time-to-time members and their partners and/or friends gather for a day event or a fun evening. In 2024 we gathered at Cullen Bay on the lawns, had a game or two at Darwin Bowls Club. These events were very successful and enjoyed by all.
Outings around and outside Darwin will be advised during the year. Some activities included a visit to Burnett House for Devonshire Tea, CareFlight at the Darwin Airport (a very informative visit), BumbleBean Chocolates (quite an interesting experience on creating chocolates). In the Dry Season Australia's Biggest Morning Tea for the Cancer Council is held outdoors at times. One time was at the beautiful Berry Springs Nature Park. A car rally in the dry season for members and their partners and friends was very successful. It was very interesting driving through the countryside looking for answers to a quiz. We found out our answers when we arrived at the lunch venue, at Purple Mango Cafe, Stephen Road, Marrakai.
